Dr. James Mbachiantim
A medical practitioner, Dr. James Mbachiantim, has declared his intention to contest for the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State.
Mbachiantim who made his interest known while officially commissioning his campaign office along David Mark’s by-pass in Makurdi, said he was motivated to join the race to make Benue a success story in the years ahead.
He told supporters at the event that he would focus on key areas such as health, agriculture, education and industrialisation if given the opportunity to serve.
The guber hopeful, however, said, if elected, he will give priority to agriculture because that is where the state has comparative advantage.
He enthused: “I don’t have to be the governor if my manifesto are adopted by any one. But, I have international reach beyond any of the contestants which is an added advantage for me. So, I’m not scared because I’m a success on every front.”
