The people of Idoma community in Benue State are currently crying out over the judgment passed on their sons by the Military Tribunal for alleged mutiny.

DailyPost reports that twelve Nigerian soldiers were sentenced to death by the military authorities for alleged criminal conspiracy to commit mutiny, disobeying lawful orders and various acts said to be inimical to the military service.

Among those who got death sentence were three indigenes of Idoma community.

They include, Friday Onuh, Emmanuel Igomu and Andrew Ngbede.

However, this judgment did no go down well with many of their kinsmen, who claimed they now want to sacrifice them for their ‘Masonic ritual’.

Registering his displeasure over the development, a certain Chalz Ameh Yemi called on Idoma community to organize a protest against the judgment.

He said, “Make we go protest joor. Stella Oduah stole, Igbos protest, Ihejirika sponsor Boko Haram, Igbos protest. Diezani vamoose money, Ijaw Protest etc.

“Aminu Ogwuche was accused of masterminding Nyanya bomb blast and he said he was not the one, now our able bodied youths are to die for wanting the right thing to be done…I think its high time we too protest”. (Sic)

Another Augustine Mike Olowu prayed that the judgment should not prevail against them.

“It’s now clear and evident that the Chief of Army Staff and other top officers are members of BOKO HARAMS”. (Sic)

For Adakole Steve, it is an injustice meted on the middle belt community.

According to him, “No country ever got it right with this level of injustice, animalistic tendencies and blood letting, especially against the middle and lower class. None of the politicians with the atrocities they commit in bringing the nation down has been convicted of felony but only innocent salary earners. Blood sucking leaders, shame”. (Sic)
