Benue Council to Recall Sacked Staff

The Oju Local Government Council of Benue State yesterday called on all its employees who were laid off in 2012, to report for screening today (Wednesday) as part of processes for their recall.
In a statement by the council’s press secretary, James Ibechi, the council chairman, Bright Ogaji, urged the sacked workers to make themselves available for the exercise.
He said officials from the state Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs will be in charge of the exercise.
Affected workers are also expected to come along with necessary identification documents.
