Geoffrey Oji, an indigene of Benue State, has emerged winner, MTN Project Fame Season 7, at the grand finale, which was held at Ultima Studios, Lekki, Lagos. An elated Geoffrey, commenting on his victory said: “Truly, grace has brought me this far; my fans and MTN have been very supportive and I can only promise better things to come.” Another contestant, Ruky, who emerged the first runners-up went home with N3m and a car.
Christian, the second runners-up went home with N2m and a car while Clement, the third runners-up received N2m. The other finalists went home with N1m and N5, 000, 000 respectively. Dance queen, Kaffy, electrified the stage with her dance steps while afro-juju maestro, Sir Shina Peters, equally thrilled the audience. Some of Geoffrey’s performances included his renditions of Majek Fashek’s Genesis, Tuface’s Only Me and Bob Dylan’s Knocking on Heaven’s Door.
Meanwhile, the telecommunications regulatory body, Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), was represented at the event by Peter Adeoye, Michael Onyia, Yusuf Abubakar, Mo-hammed Bintube and Biodun Olujimi.
