The Conference of Minority Tribes in Nigeria has announces Friday 24th of October 2014 as the substantive date for her One Million Man Match for David Mark in support of his senatorial bid in 2015.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, the National Coordinator, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi said two hundred and twenty nine civil society and political groups have indicated interest to participate in the One Million Man Match for David Mark.
Ogenyi added that the procession which will begin from St. Francis Secondary School Otukpo by 10am shall witness presentation of PDP Nomination form to the Senate President, jointly purchased by Conference of Minority Tribes in Nigeria, Civil Society Organisations, Okada Riders Association, Market Women Association, Farmer’s Association, National Association of Idoma Students NAIS and National Union of Benue State Students NUBESS.
He emphasis that, Nigerians are not ready to let Mark go and the Idoma/ Igede Nation are not ready to watch their leader and mentor vacate the Senate President seat in the nearest future. “It’s the mother of all rallies in recent time as we shall witness intimidating crowd of volunteers in support of a true leader”.
He however advise participants to ensures they are properly dressed with the T-shirt and cap as that is the admission into the venue of the procession. The group however appreciates Comrade Patrick Abba Moro the Minister of interior for his exemplary leadership through which the younger generation have seen hope in the Jonathan/Sambo administration especially in the areas of mentorship.
