Benue State Government, Monday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bureau of Commerce of Qingdao on fostering development relations between Makurdi and the Chinese city.
Chairman of the State Economic Team, Professor Dennis A. Ityavyar who led the Benue delegation to Qingdao on behalf of Governor Samuel Ortom signed the MOU with the Vice Director – General, Qingdao’s Bureau of Commerce, Chunyu Xianli.
Also on the Benue team were Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Tersoo Kpelai, as well as the State House of Assembly Committee Chairman on Industry, Trade and Investment, Hon. Richard Ujege.
The MOU covers several areas of economic cooperation such as electricity and road construction in the 23 local government areas of Benue State.
